4nets: Showing civil courage - but how?
Tuesday, 04/03/2025 / 07:00 PM - 09:00 PM / House of Engagement
Free entry
Intervene when someone is being mobbed or even attacked? React when an obviously helpless person is lying on the edge of the marketplace? Open your mouth on the streetcar when a woman is being made fun of?
Presumably everyone has experienced situations like this at some point and wondered whether and how they can and should act in a really smart and sensible way.
Especially in times of populist hostility, the topic of "civil courage" is becoming increasingly important in order to protect human dignity and democracy.
On March 4, Ivo Schölzke, who is responsible for prevention at the Freiburg criminal investigation department, will provide valuable information and tips on the topic. Afterwards, participants can describe their own experiences and practice how best to react in small role plays.
The event is free of charge and registration is not necessary.
The meeting is organized as part of the "4netzen" format, which is regularly offered by the Haus des Engagements, the Stadtwandler and the Eine-Welt-Forum.
