Topic 2025: Road Safety 4.0 - Intelligent and connected towards Vision Zero
Modern communication systems and the networking of vehicles, infrastructures and road users can revolutionize road safety if used responsibly. Vehicle-to-X technologies enable vehicles to communicate with each other and with their surroundings. This can prevent accidents and optimize traffic flows.
The automation of vehicles and the use of artificial intelligence can also make a significant contribution to greater road safety. The prerequisite for this is that the opportunities and risks of these technologies are weighed up and harmonized from a technical, legal and usage perspective.
