Program

Un Noël français with works by François Couperin, Marc-Antoine Charpentier, Nicolas Bernier, André Raison, Michel-Richard de Lalande and others.

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, the Advent concert of the College of Music Freiburg will take place at 5 p.m. in the Auferstehungskirche in Freiburg-Littenweiler. This year, the focus will be on traditional Christmas carols and French baroque music: students and teachers from the university will perform works by famous composers such as Marc-Antoine Charpentier, who composed the fanfare used on television as part of the "Eurovision". François Couperin, who often combined French and Italian elements in his pieces, will also be performed. There are also works by lesser-known composers, such as Nicolas Bernier. At the Advent concert, large and chamber music ensembles will perform in the usual atmospheric and festive atmosphere. Come along - admission is free!
