Film, Lectures, readings & discussions
Older-Other
Tuesday, 16/09/2025 / 03:30 PM - 07:00 PM / Protestant University of Applied Sciences Freiburg
Our ideas about old age shape how we approach this phase of life - in dealing with our questions, hopes, expectations and the real challenges of getting older.
For a film project, people of different ages and from very different walks of life talked about their experiences. These interviews have resulted in three moving short films that we would like to watch together. They invite us to enter into a conversation - about ageing, about images of life and about ourselves.
In her lecture, Stefanie Engler, Professor of Age(ing) and Social Work, will go into more detail about the individual and social impact of images of ageing and provide food for thought and discussion.
Musical accompaniment and refreshments will be provided.
This event is a cooperation between the Protestant Adult and Family Education Baden and the Freiburg Senior Citizens' Council,
, the FORUM älterwerden der Erzdiözese Freiburg e.V. and the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Freiburg.
