After Work: From Roman girl to matron
Wednesday, 18/03/2026 / 05:30 PM - 06:15 PM / Colombischlössle – Archäologisches Museum (archaeological museum "Colombischlössle")
The archaeological museum "Colombischlössle" invites interested parties to an evening guided tour through the exhibition "Urformen. Ice Age Art of Europe". It's all about women in ancient Rome. How was the life of a free-born Roman girl shaped and what made her a matron, a "perfect" wife? Social concepts of female appearance such as cosmetics and fashion played a major role in this. With archaeologist Pia Micheel, participants follow the career of a Roman woman: from family expectations to social positions. Participation costs the regular entrance fee.
