Alpine Advent music

Alphorns echo through the Maria Hilf church on the 2nd Advent. The catchy music from the mountains of Austria, Germany and Switzerland will be heard in the east of Freiburg on the 2nd Advent. Wolfgang Failer - always on the lookout for new pieces - has made it his passion to collect this music from all regions of the Alps and perform it with traditional instrumentation. Partly only handed down orally, there is a constantly growing, now considerable repertoire of Advent songs to be heard: This year for the first time also in Romansh. The Alpenländische Musiziergruppe Freiburg & Kaiserstuhl and the small choir of the Freiburger Kantatenchor cordially invite you to a sparkling evening with home-baked "Weihnachtsbrötle".

Admission is free and the musicians are happy to receive donations for the organization of this traditional event.
