Watercolor - special. In focus: landscape

This course offers especially advanced students the opportunity to intensively dedicate themselves to a personally preferred watercolor technique. Previous experience in the traditional glaze-lavur- wet-on-wet or wet-on-dry technique can thus be tested, trained and deepened. Beginners get an insight into the diversity of the watercolor technique and try out its handling. Also the question of individual perception and personal expression is addressed on request. In the sense of revision, repetition and questioning, already familiar themes and motifs from one's own collection of pictures or motifs can be used. In good weather, there is also the possibility of using the surroundings of the Waldhof as a direct field of inspiration. New subject areas can also be opened up, which can expand the concept of "landscape" pictorially from the conventional image to the abstracted pictorial concept of current trends. Individual supervision and assistance support and accompany the work process.

Course leader: Lord, Birgid. The course instructor is a freelance visual artist - studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe - and has been a lecturer for many years - including at the European Academy of Art in Trier.
