A stroke of luck - He is a welcome guest at the Albert Concerts: the "miracle pianist" (Süddeutsche Zeitung) Igor Kamenz, who has made Freiburg and its surroundings his home. In 2014, the sold-out concert hall of the Musikhochschule was the venue for the debut of his collaboration with violin star Arabella Steinbacher. And already then Prokofiev was part of the party, whose 1st Violin Sonata was "a great moment of chamber music, which should be marked in red in the calendar" (Alexander Dick, Badische Zeitung). Prokofiev's 2nd Violin Sonata was initially written as a flute work, but received its now familiar form thanks to a prominent request - from the enthusiastic David Oistrakh. Not only the program of this concert evening carries great tradition, but also the Stradivari ,,ex Benno Walter", which after the virtuoso Joseph Szigeti is now in the hands of Arabella Steinbacher since 2021.
