Arne Rautenberg and Nadia Budde: This Day is My Friend - Kick-off of the Lirum Larum Reading Festival with Poems and Good Humor

The language artist Arne Rautenberg puts all senses on reception and starts the day with a deep breath of morning scent - smells half like sleep, half like sand and full pot like land of milk and honey! Whether a day succeeds, that decides the good minutes. Just now the poet circles the quiet awakening, only to startle all the little dreamers with a deafening drum solo - dicke dackel dumm dumm! And to make them laugh with freaky giant dinos in dinokinos.

Again Arne Rautenberg's children's poems (Peter Hammer, 2023) fire the desire for sound, rhythm and crazy ideas. The great illustrator Nadia Budde has illustrated the latest volume in a funny and quirky way and gifted it with a snarling good-mood cover.
