Opening of the exhibition "A little history of humanity"

Free entry

The group exhibition "A Little Story of Humanity" invites you to discover humanity in all its facets - in quiet moments, in sharing joy, in seeking solace. Eleven regional artists present works of painting, sculpture, installation and poetry that are thought-provoking and promote emotional strength. The exhibition is curated by Isabelle Kanther and Philipp Wegener.

The focus is on humanity - not as a finished concept, but as a multi-layered experience. For this very reason, the majority of the works become a projection surface through abstraction. This creates space for individual interpretations and personal reflections, which intensifies the dialog between art and viewer. The works open up new perspectives while inviting the viewer to engage with the emotional depth and silent exchange they evoke.
The Clinic for Oncological Rehabilitation at Freiburg University Hospital as the exhibition venue lends the works a special quality. Here, the works encounter people in phases of healing and reorientation. Art becomes a source of strength that provides comfort and opens up new spaces for thought.

The artists see their works as companions. They invite you to connect with the colors, shapes and figures and allow yourself to be carried by the emotions and circumstances for a moment. "Art creates inner and outer spaces - touching, inspiring and full of humanity."
