Construction progress and the restrictions in Kappler Straße

From the end of February, the municipal drainage company (ESE) and the garden and civil engineering department (GuT) will be working on Kappler Straße and adjacent side streets.
The renovation of the road is urgently needed: Both the carriageway and the cycle paths and footpaths are in a very poor condition.
The work is divided into five construction phases and is expected to last until spring 2027, requiring the road to be fully closed in each section.
Residents were already informed about the construction site in January by means of a letter. There is also an overview of the upcoming construction work online at www.freiburg.de/kapplerstrasse. It is also possible to sign up for a newsletter there to stay informed about news or changes in the construction process.
At the information event, the municipal drainage company and the garden and civil engineering department will explain the planned construction process and the associated restrictions.
