Bernhard C. Striebel works in the expanded coordinates of constructive-concrete and conceptual art and combines space, image, and language in his site-specific exhibitions.

Perception and its paradoxes enter into an inconclusive interplay. There are always irritating tipping moments between image and space, between two- and three-dimensionality, between wall and sculpture. Bernhard C. Striebel is always concerned with exploring the concrete exhibition space, with ideas and preconceptions about art, with playing with seeing, with visibility and becoming visible.

In the exhibition hall of the Roland Phleps Foundation for Concrete Art, he is interested in a theater-like moment. Painting, a sculpturally appearing bridge, together with a slightly reflecting band of aluminum foil describe in the lower area of the exhibition hall a spatial overall picture in which the viewer moves. The higher, circumferential gallery is set in relation to this. Here, the unifying element is the use of transparent colored foils that filter the view.
