Between Owls

"Between Owls" feel just as comfortable in autonomous youth centers and squats as they do in ballrooms or city theaters. Their sound is somewhere between wavy post-punk and garagey indie pop. The lovingly scuffed songs with dreamy and catchy melodies are suitable for dancing, smooching and eating chips.

Based in Freiburg im Breisgau, the band has been touring throughout Germany and Switzerland since 2014 and has played around a hundred concerts. Their attitude is cheeky, but always heartfelt. After a DIY-style demo tape (2014) and the first album "Wellness" (2019) on Twisted Chords (??RIP), the band has now found a new home with KROD Records. The release show for the upcoming album "Vacation" will be duly celebrated on 12.04.25 at ArTik /Zeitraum.

The support act will be "Naive Ultra", an indie pop collective that has been based in Basel and southern Germany since 2022 and stands for radical vulnerability.

Musically, this is really noticeable: delicate, introspective vocals meet a raw, direct sound from the rhythm section - a contrast that makes their sound so special.

It is precisely this mix of gentleness and power that is Naive Ultra's trademark.
