BEER MEETS BOOK - anecdotes about beer

On Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 7 p.m., the Pop-Up Café at Schlossbergring 1 will become a literary and liquid meeting place for beer lovers and storytellers.

Volker Quante - author, passionate beer taster and well-traveled collector of anecdotes - will read six entertaining, humorous and thought-provoking beer stories collected on his travels through breweries, backyards and hop gardens.

Volker serves the right beer for each anecdote - stylistically matched to the location, mood or absurdity of the story. So it's not just reading, but also drinking, tasting and laughing.

Who is behind it?
The evening is initiated and supported by Andrea Seeger, beer sommelier and owner of the Craftbeer Lodge Freiburg - with a great deal of love for beer diversity and a keen sense for extraordinary moments of enjoyment.
