Picture book cinema for the book week

The book week from April 20 to 24, 2026 traditionally starts with the picture book cinema on Monday, April 20 and Tuesday, April 21 in the children's and youth media library in Rieselfeld, Maria-von-Rudloff-Platz 2. Esther Kuschke-Rösch, head of the media library, presents "Ein Tag, ein Aufzug" as a picture book cinema. Over 350 children are expected to visit the media library over the two days.
This year's book week of the Freiburg language daycare centers is all about the diversity of different living environments. It takes place on the occasion of World Book Day, April 23.
