Sunday, 18/02/2024 / 08:00 PM / Jazzhaus (Jazz house) Freiburg
Brandt Brauer Frick was founded in 2008 with the aim of combining the repetitive and grooving formulas of electronic dance music with the sound world of contemporary classical music.
The BBC described the trio's music as "concert hall compositions for the clubbing generation".
The band has released five studio albums to date, collaborating with artists such as Nina Kravitz, Gudrun Gut, Catherine Ringer, Jamie Lidell, Emika, Agnes Obel, Vic Mensa and Frank Ocean producer Om'Mas Keith.
As a trio and together with their 10-piece ensemble or with a full orchestra, Brandt Brauer Frick have since played over 400 concerts in more than 40 countries in clubs, classical concert halls and at festivals. These include Glastonbury Festival, Coachella, Montreux Jazz, Lincoln Center, Mutek, Sónar, Southbank Centre, Centre Pompidou, Kölner Philharmonie, Fabric and Berghain.
BBF's sixth studio album "Multi Faith Prayer Room" will be released in May 2023 on Because Music feat. Mykki Blanco, Marina Herlop, Sophie Hunger, Duane Harden and others. The immersive utopian installation of the same name premiered at ART BASEL MIAMI in December 2022 and kicked off BBF's journey into the art world.
