Brazilian Zouk Quickstarter in Freiburg – Your Introduction to Dancing

Want to learn Brazilian Zouk from scratch and looking for an easy way to get started? Our Quickstarter is designed for absolute beginners. No prior experience is required, and you’ll learn the most important basics in four intensive hours.

You can come alone—you don’t need a regular dance partner. We switch dance partners regularly during class. This way, you’ll get to know different people, practice with various partners, and easily connect with our community.

— What is the Quickstarter?

The Quickstarter combines four hours of intensive dance instruction with plenty of practice time and personalized feedback. We build everything up clearly and step by step so that you don’t just copy the movements, but truly understand them.

It’s not about being able to do everything perfectly right away. You’re welcome to experiment, ask questions, make mistakes, laugh, and discover dance at your own pace.

— What You’ll Learn

From 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., we’ll spend time together focusing on posture, connection, initial movements, musicality, and the basics of leading and following. Doors open at 3:45 p.m.

After the Quickstarter, you’ll know the most important basics and have a solid foundation for our Basic 2 classes.

— Tickets and limited spots

The entire Quickstarter costs €65 per person.

The group is limited to a maximum of ten couples. To participate, book your paid ticket in advance and select your role as leader or follower. Click the “Buy Ticket” button to view our complete list of all currently bookable events.

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. We’ll show you everything else when you arrive.

We’re Alexej and Florence from A&F Studio – Brazilian Zouk Freiburg. We explain the moves clearly, repeat them at a relaxed pace, and take the time to answer your questions. It’s important to us that you feel comfortable while learning and as part of the group.

In addition to the Quickstarter, A&F Studio offers regular dance classes ranging from beginner to advanced levels, workshops, boot camps, private lessons, and “6 Hours of Zouk”—intensive group private classes, Modules 1 through 6.
