Calexico have spent most of their long career exploring the dusty musical frontier of the American Southwest, writing unique, cinematic sounds as mysterious and grand as the arid desert landscapes that inspired them
.
Their latest album, "El Mirador" (2022), stands as both a vantage point and a beacon in the
darkness. An opportunity to listen and feel within, to reflect on our connections to the
earth and to other people, and hopefully to light a way forward.
Even after over two decades on tour, Calexico's music remains boundless and
romantic, positive and dynamic, still looking to the horizon in search of the
next adventure. And with many musical influences from around the world, their music is often
danceable and lively, and always absolutely modern and contemporary.
After their very successful "Feast Of Wire" 20th anniversary tour, Calexico will be playing a few selected concerts and festivals in Germany this
summer.
