Carla Fuchs & Cherrychords

Carla Fuchs is a classically trained clarinettist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer. In addition to teaching singing, she works as a freelance musician and body therapist. In 2022, she was commissioned by the Sandy Denny Estate to add music to unpublished
song lyrics by Sandy Denny. The resulting album "Songbird" was released in 2023. In concert, she will perform songs from her folk/pop/jazz song cycle "Shadows On The Highway", which is a musical homage to the great female songwriters of the seventies, including Sandy Denny, Laura Nyro and Joni Mitchell.

The nationally renowned Cherrychords have been delighting audiences since 2005 with two voices, two guitars and a lot of dedication, with their own songs as well as selected rock, folk and country interpretations. They have been joined by Didier Zaessinger on double bass since 2023. Ray Austin always said about Niels that he considers him to be one of the best guitarists and that it would be an honor for him to be on stage with him. It's a pleasure to have him on stage with us.
