CAVEMAN - You collect, I hunt!
With CAVEMAN, American Rob Becker wrote the most successful solo play in the
history of Broadway. After CAVEMAN was acclaimed in the United States by an audience of
millions, the modern caveman celebrates worldwide success. Also
in this country the cult Comedy in the translation of Kristian Bader and the
direction of Esther piglet inspires all, which lead, led or want to lead a relationship.
Because CAVEMAN throws a completely own view of the relationship between man and woman.
From its wife before the door set Tom, the sympathetic hero in the
relationship thicket, meets in the "magic underwear circle" its primitive ancestor from the stone age, which
lets it participate in millennia-old wisdom: Men are hunters and women are
gatherers. A fact, which the human evolution could not change until today
. What the average man has always suspected, Tom now knows firsthand
and wonders, "Why don't we just think of women and men as completely
different cultures? With different languages, different behaviors
and different backgrounds?" Energized by this insight, Tom analyzes the
alienating universe of female collectors: This mysterious world of best
friends, shopping and sex. With an immense need to share, dry humor
and an ironic eye, Tom also observes the hunter's way of life. He reveals what
fulfillment can mean , "Sitting around without talking," why men need to zap through the
television program, and that a conversation among hunters begins and ends simultaneously with the words
"Let's go to the basement, drill stuff."
