Che Sudaka celebrates 22 years.
It's easy to say, but hard to explain the path this band from Barcelona, founded by Argentinian and Colombian immigrants, has taken, spreading their free and independent music to almost 2,000 stages in 50 countries on 5 continents since 2002.
For two decades, the band's live performance has been one of the strongest in Europe according to audiences and music industry professionals.
The group's 10 albums are a true celebration of styles, cultures and languages dancing to cumbia, merengue ska, modern Latin American folk, modern Latin American folk and the ubiquitous punk attitude, irreverent but with increasingly sincere and conscious lyrics.
Time and the love of the people have made Che Sudaka a living legend. Without a doubt, it is a cult band.
On November 11, 2022, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the group released a new album produced by Martín "Moska" Lorenzo (of Los Auténticos Decadentes) and Sergio Morales (of Pakandé). Both also contributed to their recently published book, which summarizes the essence and history of the band and includes an affectionate prologue by their brother Manu Chao.
