The word "burlesque" actually comes from 16th century theater and describes a crude comic play and the caricaturistic, funny exaggeration of the characters. Burlesque" has always included elements of vaudeville, revue, circus, vaudeville theater, comedy, song and dance, as well as the actual undressing of the artists, who to this day always keep some of their clothes on. The term still stands for the humorously seductive show in the style of the great Parisian revue theater Moulin Rouge - also made famous in the film with Christina Aguilera and Cher - "Burlesque". Comedy, striptease and theater combine to create a firework display of entertainment. Elaborate costumes, hairstyles and make-up add the icing on the cake and stage the show perfectly. Of course, this includes a corresponding repertoire of gestures and movements, from the lascivious hip swing to the meaningful look in the eyes.
