Playing joy times two - Sometimes you have to look several times to believe that there are really two pianists sitting on stage. Lucas and Arthur Jussen make no secret of the fact that they have fun at precisely this irritating moment. In fact, their playing is characterized by unheard-of harmony, absolute agreement and blind trust. At the same time, there is no lack of willingness to take risks, because the brothers are unanimous: only when the unforeseen happens on stage does it become really exciting. The fact that the two Dutchmen have been sitting together at the piano since their earliest childhood is of course partly responsible for their perfect and stylistically immensely flexible interplay, as well as a sound ideal that has matured together.

In their native Netherlands, they have long been treated like superstars, regularly achieving high chart positions and gold records with their albums. The duo signed an exclusive contract with their house label, Deutsche Grammophon, while still in their teens. It was high time for their debut at the Albert Concerts, where the brothers introduced themselves with Mozart. They have a long and intense relationship with Mozart's double concerto. They were 10 and 13 years old when they debuted with it in Amsterdam's Concertgebouw. A work that, with its transparency and sunny temperament, is tailor-made for the amazing pair of brothers. At the Jussens' first Albert guest appearance, one can also look forward to another debut: that of Kazuki Yamada, the newly appointed principal conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
