Clazztic - Classic Meets Jazz

Free entry

In her program Clazztic - Classic meets Jazz, the South Korean-born pianist and composer combines the elegance of classical sound with lively jazz harmonies, passionate tango rhythms and her own compositions. The result is a fascinating world of sound in which classical music and jazz, emotional depth and narrative expressiveness merge in impressive harmony. She invites the audience to experience familiar melodies in a new light.

Lee EL began playing the piano at the age of four under the guidance of her mother. After her studies at Sunhwa Arts Middle & High School in Seoul, her path led her to Germany. She studied at the College of Music Carl Maria von Weber Dresden with Prof. Detlef Kaiser, Prof. Pia Kaiser and Prof. Arkadi Zenzipér, a student of Grigory Sokolov, and graduated with honors. Today she works as a pianist, composer and as a juror at the International Piano Competition of Encounters Dresden, which she co-founded. Her concert tours take her all over Germany. In September 2025, Lee EL already delighted audiences with her program at the Storchenhof in Teningen. Now we can finally welcome her to Freiburg.

Look forward to an inspiring evening at the interface of classical music and jazz and enjoy the opportunity to talk to the artist over a glass of wine afterwards.
