Damien Juillard | Ceidra Moon Murphy | Solo presentations

Free entry

In his first institutional solo exhibition "Liminal Tears", Damien Juillard experiments with forms of permanence within the fleeting digital image culture. Using scanned objects and edited screenshots from his iPhone, he extracts moments of permanence from the fleeting, constantly changing screen landscapes.

In a lengthy process of digital and physical choreographies of movements, shifts and superimpositions, he transforms these into compositions that he presents in larger-than-life acrylic glass structures. As fascinating, minimalist pictorial bodies, they confront us as mirrors with systems of data streams and network technologies that shape our existence today.

With her solo presentation "Groundwork", Ceidra Moon Murphy continues her questioning of the transparency of state procedures, public and private partnerships. She draws attention to the architecture that exists to support them. At the center of the exhibition is "Earwitness", a series of discarded commercial flight recorders from Lockheed Martin, the world's leading arms manufacturer.

In these and other works, the artist questions the extent to which states and their contractors act in the public interest in times of rapidly increasing military spending
