Life pulsates on Campiello, a small square in the middle of the city. Residents carry out their neighborhood disputes here, young couples full of temperament and jealousy meet here just as in love still inexperienced dreamers or those who hope even in old age for marital bliss. When a fine gentleman discovers the "poor man's neighborhood", a rapid confusion begins, at the end of which many a longing for love is fulfilled - but in a different way than expected.

Sharp-tongued word fights in the best Commedia dell'arte tradition with fine, partly coarse-burschikosem wit, briefly: a consistently brisk and cheeky comedy!
