Uwe Ritzer as a guest in the "Man and Creation" series
The award-winning journalist and author Uwe Ritzer will speak about the hidden sell-out of water, soil and raw materials on Wednesday, November 12 at 7 pm at the Archbishop's Seminary Collegium Borromaeum, Schoferstraße 1, Freiburg. The lecture and subsequent discussion will also be broadcast online.
While the public debate is ignited by heating issues and e-mobility, the sell-off of our natural resources is progressing in the background. Corporations and investors are securing water, land and raw materials - often unnoticed by politicians and the public. In his book "The Sell-Off", Ritzer shows how this process works, who benefits from it and what consequences it has for the environment and society.
The event is part of the "Man and Creation" series organized by the Catholic Academy in Freiburg in cooperation with the Musella Foundation for a Socio-Ecological Future.
Admission is free. Registration at: www.katholische-akademie-freiburg.de
