The theater collective Die Kleinbürger are visiting Freiburg for a guest performance! In October, we will be staging the sharp-tongued comedy God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza - a play that exposes the façade of civilized coexistence with plenty of black humour and spot-on dialogue.

What do adults do when two children argue? Of course, they bash each other's heads in. In Yasmina Reza's acerbic comedy hit, the married couple Reiler and Köhler meet to mediate the conflict between their eleven-year-old sons. They want to discuss the next steps in a pedagogically valuable way - after all, something like this can be sorted out quickly. But then the question arises as to why one boy hit the other in the face. Perhaps because of the parents' obvious marital problems? Hardly, the other one must have provoked him! Suddenly the parties to the dispute find themselves on a battlefield where there no longer seem to be any rules. They fight with words and in the end neither expensive pieces of furniture nor marriages remain intact.

Look forward to an evening full of verbal battles, surprising twists and unmasking comedy!
