Famous numbers such as the Waltz of the Flowers, the Waltz of the Snowflakes, the motifs of the Divertissement enchant children and take adults back to their childhood.

The story of the Nutcracker is as Christmassy as the scent of baked apples and the eternal glittering tinsel: the story of children, to whom a given Nutcracker shows distant lands and distant peoples in a dream on Christmas Eve, enchants young and old again and again as a Christmas ballet.
