The Schlossberg (castle hill) at the turn of the year - fall/winter

The Schlossberg (castle hill), located right next to Freiburg's old town, was once bare and unforested for strategic military reasons. Nowadays, however, there is a diverse stock of trees, which shine in beautiful colors in autumn. We explore the mysterious paths and listen to the stories of the trees on a circular route, passing many a place steeped in history. Learn about their specific uses in folk medicine and which parts of the trees are still sold in pharmacies today in the form of remedies. Depending on the season, practical uses of the various trees will be demonstrated.
Please wear clothing suitable for the weather and sturdy shoes. The excursion takes place in (almost) any weather.
