Classical masterpieces on Münsterplatz
Enjoy a great evening full of emotions and let yourself be enchanted by the magic of music and the unique atmosphere of Freiburg's Münsterplatz! The Albert Concerts invite you to an extraordinary open-air concert on August 27, 2025, where the renowned Prague Philharmonia under the direction of Jirí Habart will present musical masterpieces of classical music as part of the Münsterplatz Concerts 2025.
Let yourself be enchanted by the majestic beauty of Bedrich Smetana's famous tone poem "The Moldau", which brings the diversity of the river of the same name to life in all its facets, and be swept away by the drama of the "Sárka". Afterwards, Antonín Dvorák's monumental Symphony No. 9 "From the New World", one of the most frequently performed works of classical music ever, awaits you - a symphonic masterpiece that captures the vastness of the American landscape in a cornucopia of atmospheric melodies and rousing forces of sound and at the same time proclaims Dvorák's longing for his Bohemian homeland in wistful tones.
Music that is tailor-made for the Prague Philharmonic - you can look forward to an unforgettable evening!
