The villa colonies of Littenweiler (excursion)

Price: 22.00€

In addition to general insights into the history of Littenweiler, this tour will focus in particular on the planned redevelopment of the agricultural village of Littenweiler. After the village was incorporated in 1914, the school building was erected in 1925. The pilgrimage chapel on Eichberg served as a parish church and is now the town hall. The construction of spacious villa colonies complemented the renowned and historic "Stahlbad" spa and health resort. The Dannemann estate and the villas designed by the architect Mallebrein on the "Herchersberg" were laid out as villa colonies. Special residents of Littenweiler are introduced. The tour will end with a visit to one of the villas, which was built in 1896/97. This will be today's "Waldhof" educational academy. Meeting point on Saturday, 22.11. at 2 p.m. at the terminus of line 1, Laßbergstraße. Note: The route is three kilometers long and partly uphill and downhill. - Registration required.
