The Magic Flute is the most famous, the most popular, and the most performed German opera. The fairy-tale plot as well as the wonderful, catchy melodies enchant young and old. Without exaggerating, one can say: The Magic Flute is the most popular opera par excellence among children.

The opera offers children an incredible variety of stimuli to the imagination: there is the witty, unforgettable Papageno, the wonderful love story between Prince Tamino and his beloved Pamina, the magnificent, wise world of Sarastro's Temple of the Sun, and the evil, dangerous Queen of the Night with her incredible coloratura drama. There are also enchanted musical instruments, menacing snakes and dancing animals, in a world where good celebrates its certain victory over evil.

Now a very special, beautiful version of this opera classic comes to the stage for children ages 4 and up. The shimmering voices of the PRAGUE CHAMBER OPERA enchant the audience with the most famous arias and ensembles of this masterpiece. The enchanting story is narrated by the likeable actress Melinda Thompson. As the "High Priestess Isira", she presents the plot in a slightly abbreviated, clear, understandable manner, with wit and charm.
