Printmaking: Etching

The course offers an introduction to the technique of etching. The necessary working tools are tried out and test prints are created. Course content:* Engraving and etching your own motifs onto the printing plate* Practicing the printing process with one or more colors* Designing additional printing platesParticipants will be introduced to the etching technique. Zinc plates are used as the working medium. The course is aimed at beginners as well as participants from previous courses run by the instructor.materials/tools will be provided. Material costs for paints, varnish, acid and papers are included in the course fee. The zinc plates will be charged directly to the course instructor at €3/each - according to consumption.

Course instructor: Hothum, Michelle. The course instructor is a miniature painter and illustrator. She works mainly with the technique of etching. She regularly takes part in exhibitions and collectors' markets at home and abroad. more at www.angelsbymichel.weebly.com
