Duo Yaschar Coskun & Azad Cicek

Two young musicians whose paths crossed in the "Global Music" course at the Popakademie Mannheim. Their duo program combines their Turkish and Kurdish roots in newly interpreted traditional pieces and songs. Pieces from the Balkans and original compositions in odd meters expand the tonal diversity and are performed with baglama and very different percussion in a virtuoso and sympathetic way.
