EasyStreet opens with "Carmela" by La Tanik. This is followed by handstand acrobat Natalie Reckert with the production "Superheroine made of icing" and Volker Gerling with a "Thumb kinography".
The "EasyStreet Festival" comes to Vauban and Merzhausen from May 9 to 11
EasyStreet is back! Lovingly curated by a small team of artists, the international EasyStreet street theater festival has now established itself as a permanent fixture in Freiburg's cultural life and attracts several thousand visitors every year. What makes it special: The festival takes place in a different part of the city every year and invites visitors to discover new corners and places in the city.
In 2025, EasyStreet will enliven the Vauban district and the neighboring municipality of Merzhausen over three days. The festival presents a diverse program for all age groups. As always, admission is free. This year, visitors can look forward to puppet theater, object theater, clowns, artistry, a punk circus, a unique flip book and a band especially for young audiences. For the first time, there will also be a walk act with a small elephant.
The EasyStreet street theater festival is made possible by institutional funding from the city of Freiburg and support from Sparkasse, GLS Bank and the "See with your soul" foundation.

In case of rain, the performances will take place on Friday and Sunday in the "Stadtteilzentrum Vauban Haus 37" and on Saturday in the hall of the Waldorfschule St. Georgen.
