Ecopoint - climate friendly climbing

In her presentation, Lena Müller talks about her motivations and experiences with climate-friendly mountain sports. The climate scientist and climber imparts climate knowledge, shares her experiences with "Ecopoint" climbing and gives practical tips for climbing trips by bike. The lecture will be followed by an open discussion over snacks.
Lena Müller is doing her PhD in ecology on the impact of the climate crisis on mountain regions. In 2020, she became the first German woman to climb a route at grade E9 with the trad test piece "Prinzip Hoffnung" and traveled there mainly by train. As a freelance ecologist, she raises awareness for the topic of "climate-friendly outdoor sports" with articles, films and lectures. She works as a project manager at the VAUDE Sport Albrecht von Dewitz Foundation, which promotes projects on safe alpinism and the protection of the mountain environment.
