A treasure trove of stories - fairy tales, legends and stories from the Jewish tradition

Jewish storytelling offers a rich treasure trove of fairy tales, sagas, legends and stories, which we will explore intensively in this seminar. The focus will be less on academic classifications or historical categorizations and more on personal approaches and the search for meaning. Selected examples from the Jewish narrative will be told, considered and questioned together; we will look again and again at what the stories tell us and discover familiar and new things. Impulses on the background as well as information on sources and conditions of origin will deepen the examination of the stories. The seminar cordially invites everyone to embark on a quest of discovery in the treasure trove of Jewish stories and to return enriched.

Course leader: Lutkat, Sabine. Sabine Lutkat studied educational science, German studies and psychology and works as a freelancer in adult education, specializing in fairy tales.
