In cooperation with VISTAtour and ARGE Freiburger Stadtbild - The neighborhood between the railroad line and the university is not a district in its own right, but it does have its own unique character: Remnants of long-defunct industrial plants and commercial enterprises can still be found there. The tour leads along the Gewerbebach to former factories, into hidden and well-known backyards and to stately factory owners' villas. And time and again, the focus is on house and land speculation and places that have caused a furor since the 1970s, when the neighborhood became a redevelopment area and the center of protest movements. - Registration required.
