Fields of Un/rest

Free entry

The artists now living in Berlin - Philip Beck, Betty Blumenstock, Arne Grashoff and Benjamin Koglin as well as curator Sharleena Rosing - ask: What does it mean to produce art in a present characterized by crises?

The title reflects the tension between retreat and reaction, between the need for calm and external unrest. The exhibition examines how social circumstances manifest themselves in artistic work without taking a political stance.

The artists work with installation, sculpture, photography, video and sound and in some cases develop new, site-specific works. Their works deal with materiality, identity, corporeality and the conditions of public space and contemporary existence.
