What happens to our human waste after we flush the toilet? And is the way we deal with it today still ecologically appropriate?

The documentary "Holy Shit" impressively highlights how far modern sanitation systems have moved away from natural material cycles. At the same time, the film shows innovative and sustainable alternatives that are already being successfully implemented around the world.

The screening will be followed by a moderated film discussion with a compost toilet farmer from Freiburg. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and discuss sustainable sanitation and resource concepts.
