Film: "Sorda - the sound of the world" (2025)

The film "Sorda - The Sound of the World" (Spain, 2025) will be shown. The film is subtitled and contains a lot of sign language, which is also subtitled.

It focuses on the relationship between a deaf woman and a hearing man, which comes to a crisis when the question arises as to whether their child will be hearing. The film addresses the contrast between the deaf community and the hearing majority society and shows how self-determination can be made more difficult by external expectations and social demands.

The film screening is part of the socio-political project "DenkAnstoß" by Schwere(s)Los! e.V..

The screening will be followed by a joint discussion about the film. All interested parties are cordially invited.
