Film and discussion: The Legacy of the Seven Boxes (OmeU)

The series "HINSCHAUEN - FilmRäume von DZNS & KoKi" continues: Dory Sontheimer, born in Barcelona, discovered seven boxes of letters, photos and documents in the attic of her parents' house after the death of her mother. In them, she came across the previously unknown history of her family, which was persecuted in Germany by the National Socialists for being Jewish. Researching her ancestors led her to Freiburg - and then to Israel, the Czech Republic, Argentina, Canada and the USA. Afterwards, there will be room for discussions about the film and the overarching theme of "family stories".
