Film screening with piano accompaniment: Modern Times

The silent film "Modern Times" from 1936 shows Charlie Chaplin's last appearance as the Tramp. Charlie Chaplin, caught between the gears of an inexorably moving machine, fights against the pitfalls of modern times with the slapstick typical of his character. In this critical satire about industrialization, man becomes a helpless cog in an overpowering machine. The film will be accompanied musically by Günter A. Buchwald on the piano. The evening is a cooperation on the occasion of the exhibition "Modern Times" with the Kommunales Kino Freiburg in the Alter Wiehre Bahnhof, Urachstraße 40, and costs the normal cinema admission.
