Film screening and discussion: I DANCE, BUT MY HEART IS CRYING

To mark the opening of the Documentation Center for National Socialism, the Kommunale Kino is showing the film "I DANCE, BUT MY HEART IS CRYING". In his documentary, director Christoph Weinert tells the story of the rediscovery of two Jewish recording studios. The Berlin labels "Semer" and "Lukraphon" were tolerated by the National Socialists until 1938. Now the rescued works of persecuted Jewish artists have been reinterpreted. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the director. The film will be shown at Urachstraße 40. The event is a cooperation with the Kommunales Kino Freiburg, the Egalitäre Jüdische Chawurah Gescher, Israelitische Gemeinde Freiburg. Participation costs the regular movie ticket price. Tickets and more information at koki-freiburg.de.
