Dexterity - in manual dialog with the material

I have been working with porcelain for many years, building it up by hand into thin-walled, simple shapes. This results in paper-like vessels/objects with an almost organic-looking surface. These almost visible fingerprints in the surface of the material create an immediacy, a certain closeness. The necessary fingertip feeling and many years of experience with the material also play an important role.

I would like to convey this in the workshop and introduce you to porcelain as a material by building it up by hand in order to create your own shapes. I will be working with both white and colored porcelain.

The course is aimed at beginners and advanced students.
