Flea Market & Summer Festival Habsburgerstraße

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, the Interessengemeinschaft Habsburgerstraße e.V. cordially invites all flea market enthusiasts, city strollers, and summer lovers to the popular “Habsoluten Flohmarktfest.” This time-honored street festival has long been a fixture on Freiburg’s calendar of events and attracts over 12,000 visitors to Habsburgerstraße every year.

Of course, Freiburg’s largest street flea market will be there again—celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. Over 300 private vendors will showcase their treasures and finds—from nostalgic rarities and household goods to secondhand clothing and arts and crafts. Stretching an impressive 1.4 kilometers from Europaplatz to Rennweg, Habsburgerstraße is transformed for a day into a bustling bazaar full of life, social interaction, and the joy of discovery.

From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the festival invites visitors to spend the day browsing, marveling, and hunting for bargains. Of course, there’s plenty to satisfy your appetite as well: A diverse range of culinary offerings—including food stands, food trucks, sweet treats, and refreshing drinks—ensures that all guests stay well-fueled throughout the day. The many encounters and the special atmosphere of Habsburgerstraße make this event a true summer highlight.

But the Habsolute Flea Market Festival is more than just a lively street festival: Proceeds from the event go toward a project close to the heart of IG Habsburgerstraße e.V.—funding the festive red Herrnhut stars that transform the street into a magical sea of lights during the winter months and bring warmth and joy even in the darkest season.
