The contemporary choreography "For madmen only" by Viktoria Matveeva is based on Hermann Hesse's 1927 novel "The Steppenwolf" and deals with a topic that is highly topical in today's psychology and spiritual world:

We humans are highly complex beings with multi-layered dispositions, inclinations and imprints, some of which contradict each other and often lead to a feeling of powerlessness, disorientation and brokenness. In the search for inner happiness and inner balance, the same direction can be recognized in many philosophical, psychological and spiritual approaches: if we stop evaluating with our minds and begin to accept what is, to recognize that everything is one and does not exist separately from each other, then we can integrate our different parts and rediscover our inner happiness.

The dancers of the Neo Dance Company embody the multi-layered parts, emotions and thoughts of a person. They show that there is a Steppenwolf in every one of us!
