Miss Brehm's Animal Life: Felis silvestris - the wild cat

The lady herself describes the animal as follows: "Unlike our domestic cats, the wild cat is a true European and a gifted swimmer. It crosses rivers, goes fishing and, if you let it, enjoys life, were it not for the fragmentation of habitats, which turns the wild cat into Robinson Crusoe, starving on deserted islands. Incidentally, the wild forest cat cannot be domesticated at all. This is astonishing, because even experts find it difficult to distinguish tabby domestic cats from wild cats. Caution is advised with cute, gray, tabby kittens from the forest - they could turn out to be wild cats. Rhhhh."

The screening is suitable for curious adults and children aged 8 and over. Admission is free, donations are welcome.

This event is sponsored by Naturpark Südschwarzwald e. V. with funds from the state of Baden-Württemberg and the European Union.
