Freiburg Gospel Choir with Malcolm Green and band - annual concert 2025

The aim of the Freiburg Gospel Choir, founded and directed by Carsten Schulz
almost 40 years ago, is to proclaim gospel as good news ("Good Spell")
. For the two
annual concerts in St. Mark's Church and St. Paul's Church, a
new program of predominantly contemporary gospel music was arranged and rehearsed for the choir,
the soloists and the eight-piece band.
For more than 20 years, solo singer Malcolm Green has shaped the choir's
performances. The band with the musicians
Dieter Bauer (guitar), Michael Ehret (alto saxophone), Bernhard G. Hofmann
(bass), Stefan Nommensen (trumpet), Stephan Oberländer (tenor saxophone),
Tobias Rädle-Sauter (keyboard) and Mario Rosenfeld (trombone)
, who all work in Freiburg, support the choir with an impressive musical sound. Gregory Riffel (drums) provides
a captivating rhythm.
